Bodyflex Herbal’s active ingredient Univestin™ extract contains Baikal skullcap and Acacia catechu extract. Univestin™ extract is natural, vegetal COX-1/COX-2 and 5-LO (=LOX) inhibitor. It inhibits arachidonic acid metabolism to produce inflammatory prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes reducing prolonged inflammation under certain conditions.

Both herbal extracts contain strong antioxidant agents preventing oxidative radical’s damaging effects for the tissues. During inflammatory and tissue damages oxidative radicals appear more often than under stable conditions.

Scutellaria baicalensis (Georgi) or Baikal Skullcap is a species of flowering plant in the Lamiaceae family growing in China and in Russia. It is one of 50 fundamental medicinal herbs, which has been used in traditional Chinese medicine for over 2000 years. The roots contain flavonides supporting liver function protecting from inflammation and allergy.

Acacia catechu (L.) Willd., Oliv., in the Fabaceae family, also known as Catechuacacia, is a deciduous, thorny tree which grows up to 10 m high. It is mostly found in China and Indian Ocean area. It has been used for cough and sore throat in ayrvedic treatment. Acacia Catechu bark is rich in flavonoids catechin and epicatechin, which are actually a subgroup of flavanoids . They show anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidative activity.

Daily dosage (1 – 2 tablets) contains:
Univestin™ extract 500 mg containing
Baikal skullcap (Scutellaria baicalensis) 425 mg
Acacia catechu (Acacia catechu) 75 mg

Dosage: 1 tablet twice a day.

Contains no lactose, yeast, gluten or sweeteners.
