Guarana forte - Natural Stimulant Tablets

The plant Guarana (Paullinia cupana) is native to Amazon regions of Brazilian and Uruguayan rain forest. It has been used medicinally for centuries by Brazilian Indians as a general tonic for the body and used: as a source of energy,

as a nervine tonic,

as a stimulant,

as a systemic cleanser,

as an aphrodisiac,

for fatigue,

for diarrhea, gastrointestinal complains,

for PMS symptoms, headaches, listlessness,

for neuralgia and other mild pains,

to quell hunger.

PHARMACOLOGY

Guarana is a gentle stimulant and acts on the central nervous system to prevent fatigue and break down lactic acid from muscle stress. It was used when the brain is irritated or depressed by mental exertion, or when there is fatigue or exhaustion from hot weather. Chemical studies showed Guarana contains xanthines. These xanthines mainly include guaranine (natural caffeine), theobromine, and theophylline acting as muscle relaxants and possessing diuretic properties. Also the caffeine and xanthines have a stimulating effect on the central nerves system and the circulatory system. In addition, the other constituents of the seed extract work synergistically to give the special Guarana effects. Guarana contains two to three times more caffeine than coffee or tea.

ACTIVE PROPERTIES

Guarana has been used as a stimulant, diuretic, and antidiarrheal. Other applications have included as a nervine tonic, antifatigue stimulant, to reduce hunger, to relieve headaches and migraines, to alleviate PMS symptoms.

SAFETY

Guarana has been used for a long time and in many countries. There are no reports of untoward reactions. In the United States, Guarana has GRAS status-Generally Regarded As Safe. That being said, there are always individuals who may be allergic to Guarana, as they may be to eggs, mushrooms or a thousand other foods.

Guarana is not habit-forming herb, there are no reports about the negative reaction when usage is stopped.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS

As with many stimulants, Guarana forte is not suitable to the children, pregnant women and people with heart problems.
