What is carnosine?
Carnosine is a new anti-ageing "super" antioxidant designed to fight age-related changes in the skin, brain, heart, muscles and other tissues. Carnosine is well documented scientifically as a nontoxic, natural nutritional supplement. No adverse health hazards have been reported even when used continuously.

L-carnosine is a dipeptide, formed by two natural amino acids, alanine and histidine. Carnosine was discovered in Russia in 1900 and it has been used as a complementary therapy since the 1930´s but it is the research that has been conducted over the last ten years that has pointed to its outstanding anti-aging properties.

We know that cells that contain significant amounts to sufficient amounts of carnosine are healthy cells and also the longest-lived cells. The highest concentrations are found in the brain, cardiac muscles and skeletal muscles. Its beneficial biological effects have been proven and documented in established scientific journals. A single dose (450 mg) of carnosine raises serum total antioxidant capacity.
