BIOMEGA-7, a food supplement, contains cold pressed Sea buckthorn oil with high quality.

Sea buckthorn (genus Hippophae) is a berry-bearing, hardy bush of the family Elaeagnaceae, naturally distributed in Asia and Europe.

Based on folklore as well as scientific research, Sea buckthorn has become an important medicinal and nutritional product.

Sea buckthorn contain more than 80 known chemicals including vitamins, amino acids, essential fatty acids, and about 40 carotenoids and so on.

Biomega-7 is rich in essential fatty acids including 30% of palmitoleic (16:1, omega-7), alpha-linolenic (18:3, omega-3), linoleic (18:2, omega-6), and oleic (18:1, omega-9), and so on.

Studies conducted in the 20th century confirm numerous beneficial actions of Sea buckthorn such as antioxidant effect.

Usage

Sea buckthorn has been used for the treatment of skin conditions, and also internally for the treatment of ulcers of the mucous membranes in digestive system.

Sea buckthorn oil has been used for centuries as a skin care remedy, with reported skin nourishing, revitalizing and restorative actions. It is widely used to promote the recovery of various skin conditions, including eczema, burns, bedsores and poorly healing wounds, as well as the skin damaging effects of sun, therapeutic radiation treatment and laser surgery.

Sea buckthorn oil also helps to prevent and treat wrinkles, dryness and other symptoms of malnourished or prematurely aging skin.

Biological studies suggest that the restorative action of the Sea buckthorn oil may be in part due to its high content of essential fatty acids, carotenes, tocopherols and phytosterols, which are all important for the maintenance of a healthy skin.

Sea buckthorn oil also helps in lowering higher level of LDL and increase HDL level.
